WACO (July 30, 2010)-A Central Texas jury has sentenced convicted sexual predator Karl Mayer to 107 years in prison.

Mayer learned his fate Friday morning in 19th State District Judge Ralph Strother’s court.

Mayer initially was charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, seven counts of indecency with a child and three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, but the verdict was only applied to the continuous sexual abuse charge and one count of indecency.

The state alleged Mayer continually sexually abused a child younger than 14 over a period of weeks between November and December 2008.

An assistant district attorney told News 10 the Tuesday trial revolves around the continuous sexual abuse counts.

Edith, that's an extremely un-American thing to say. You should try living in Afghanistan. That's the way their law is set up.

It's a shame that people like this would even start a "family". I wonder what kind of prison he will go to following some kind of psychiatric evaluation?
