WACO (August 2, 2010)-Jennifer Matthews, who was severely burned last March when her Waco home caught fire, was released from Parkland Hospital last Friday after months of treatment.

Waco Fire Marshal Jerry Hawk Told News 10 his office still wants to talk to her about the fire.

Matthews sustained burns over 80 percent of her body when the garage of her Mundo Dr. home caught fire just after 4:30 p.m. on March 29.

Neighbors ran to help when they saw Matthews running across her yard with her clothes on fire.

Most of her body from the neck down was burned to some degree.

Firefighters believe the fire was arson.

Neighbors told investigators Matthews talked about seeing a man in a mask.
Police also said there was a burglary call at Matthews house earlier that day but investigators found no sign of a break in.

Some days later News 10 learned that a gas station employee at a station near Valley Mills and Hilltop drives remembered selling Matthews $2.50 worth of gasoline on the morning of the fire.

Investigators subsequently recovered videotape of Matthews at the gas station from surveillance cameras.

Where's there's smoke, there's fire. Something doesn't add up to me. Sounds like someone has something to hide...

You would think they could check her and her husband's phones since supposedly she was getting all these threatening text msgs...and by the way, she bought the gas can there too, not just the gas. If she didn't do it to herself, she ought to be scared going home when this masked man is still on the loose and has it out for her. I think it should be on 48 Hours Mystery.
