Accident Shuts Down Busy Local Highway Overnight

NOLANVILLE (January 17, 2012) -- The westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 190 were closed for a short time early Thursday morning after a rollover accident.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. just inside the Nolanville city limits.

Police are still investigating the cause, but it is believed that debris on the road may have played a factor in the accident.

When first responders arrived they found the driver of the rolled-over vehicle about 500-yards away speaking to the other driver involved in the accident.

That vehicle had what police are describing as moderate damage.

Traffic was forced to exit the at Patty Hamiliton Road.

The driver of the vehicle that rolled over was taken to an area hospital, police would not release information about the victim's condition.
