Agents Seize $1 Million Worth Of Cocaine At Texas Border Bridges

BROWNSVILLE (November 22, 2012)--U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in South Texas have seized cocaine in two separate incidents with an estimated value of more than $1 million.

The seizures took place Tuesday at two international bridges in Brownsville.

The larger of the two seizures took place after officers discovered eight bundles containing nearly 21 pounds of cocaine hidden inside a Toyota Solara.

Officials said the cocaine has a street value of $614,000.

The other seizure took place at a different bridge after officers discovered eight bundles with 14.4 pounds of cocaine hidden inside a truck.

Officials said the cocaine has a street value of $434,000.

The drivers in both seizures were turned over to federal agents.
