BEVERLY HILLS (December 9, 2013) A statewide Amber Alert issued Monday evening for a missing 5-year-old Beverly Hills girl has been cancelled.

The alert was issued around 6:40 p.m. Monday after the father of Aaliyah Garcia phoned police reporting that his daughter was last seen around 1 p.m. Monday in the Waco suburb and was believed to be with her non-custodial mother, Alicia Ortiz. 24, Sgt. Thomas Schmidt of Beverly Hills Police said.

According to Schmidt, relatives of Garcia began phoning Beverly Hills Police shortly after the alert was issued.

The grandmother of Garcia eventually called police and said she knew where Ortiz and Garcia were.
