GREENVILLE (March 6, 2014) The crew of an American Eagle jet en route from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Illinois made a safe emergency landing at a small airport in Greenville after reporting smoke in the cabin.
American Airlines says no one on Flight 3400 was hurt.
The plane was bound Wednesday night for Moline, Ill., but the pilots diverted to Greenville Municipal Airport-Majors Field where the plane landed about an hour after takeoff.
The plane was carrying 45 passengers and three crew members.
The plane remains at the Greenville airport where it will be checked by a maintenance crew.
Passengers were bused back to DFW airport to catch other flights.
