GEORGETOWN (August 12, 2014) A jury in Georgetown has decided on a 15-year prison sentence for a man who bragged about an attack during a softball game that left another man with bran damage.

Jurors sentenced Leovardo Cantos, 40, to 15 years in prison Monday after finding him guilty of aggravated assault in July for an attack during a November softball game.

Witnesses from both teams say the victim was on the ground when Cantos kicked him in the head after a routine play at first base.

The victim needed emergency brain surgery after the attack.

Cantos bragged about the assault on Facebook about 30 minutes after it took place, writing, “I guess next time u will think twice about taking out someone’s knee in softball! Ha ha! How’s your face? Cause my foot is killing me!!! Not to mention how far u flew when u were “standing your ground”, Lmao. U picked the wrong Mexican homeboy!!!”

He was on probation for three convictions of felony assault at the time of the November attack.
