MOODY (August 9, 2014) A former Central Texas prison guard remained in jail Saturday after a retired sheriff's deputy was hit by a truck.
Vivian Reat was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
She was held Saturday in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond, according to online jail records.
According to Moody Police Chief Chris Vesleka, Reat was arrested after her husband was hit by a truck and trailer.
It's unknown if he was injured in the incident.
Her husband is a retired McLennan County sheriff's deputy.
Reat previously worked as a guard for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
She was held Friday in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
