BELL COUNTY (July 10, 2014) David Earl Lovato, 25, of Belton was free Thursday on $75,000 bond after he was charged with aggravated sexual assault in an incident involving a 13-year-old girl who sneaked out of her home to attend a party at a lakeside park.
An arrest warrant was issued Monday and Lovato turned himself in Tuesday at the Bell County Jail, sheriff’s Lt. Donnie Adams said.
The charge stems from an investigation that started on March 30 when a man reported that his daughter had slipped out of the house to go to a party at Owl Creek Park on Lake Belton where she engaged in sexual activity, Adams said.
