Rusty Garrett here with the weekend outlook: The drier of the two days with sunshine and warm conditions in store Saturday. An increase in storm clouds Sunday with the potential for more heavy rain late in the day and evening.
FORT WORTH (July 15, 2014) Police were trying to determine Tuesday whether several bodies were left unattended after a mortuary service was told to move out of its building in Fort Worth.
A couple of weeks ago the owner of the property told Johnson Family Mortuary to vacate the building police Sgt. Raymond Bush said.
On Tuesday morning the property owner found "multiple bodies" in the building but no workers, Bush said.
Bush declined to say how many bodies were found.
Investigators are trying to determine if there were violations of state law dictating the disposal of a body.
The business has a state license that expires this month, Texas Funeral Service Commission attorney Kyle Smith said.
Smith said Johnson Family is the focus of five separate commission investigations.
The mortuary service’s phone was no longer connected Tuesday.
