Body Found In Burning Texas Duplex

LUBBOCK (December 18, 2012)—A body was found Tuesday in a burning duplex in Lubbock and an injured man at the scene was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Lubbock police spokesman Jonathan Stewart said the fire was reported Tuesday morning as part of an emergency call about a blood-covered man outside the home.

Further details on the person found dead in the residence weren't immediately released.

Stewart did not release the name of the injured man, who was in the duplex, or how he was hurt.

The fire was extinguished by late morning.
