BELTON (February 12, 2013)—Belton police were investigating Tuesday evening after a body was found in a home on the edge of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus.

Police said the body was that of a young male, but UMHB spokesman James Stafford said the incident doesn’t involve a current or former student.

The body was found at around 3 p.m. Tuesday in the home near the intersection of North Pearl Street and West 11th Avenue.

Officers found no immediate evidence of violence or foul play and police said there is no threat to the surrounding neighborhood.
