Body Of Texas Man Who Drowned On Father’s Day Recovered

LEWISVILLE (June 18, 2014) Searchers Wednesday recovered the body of a Melissa man who evidently drowned in Lake Lewisville while trying to help a relative make it back to a boat during a Father’s Day outing.

A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department crew found the body of Michael Quach, 38, just west of a marina.

Quach was not wearing a life vest when he jumped into the water went under Sunday afternoon, authorities say.

He was trying to assist a struggling relative who was wearing a lifejacket but did not know how to swim and needed help getting back to the boat.
