Boy, 10, Told To Walk On Texas Interstate As Punishment

LEAGUE CITY (October 8, 2013)—A woman accused of punishing her 10-year-old son by forcing him walk home on the shoulder of Interstate 45 in League City was jailed Tuesday.

He walked along the shoulder of the interstate for about 15 minutes before officers stopped him, police said.

Garcia had another son in the car and both children later were released to the custody of their father.

Garcia was charged with abandoning and endangering a child.
