Rusty Garrett here with the weekend outlook: Saturday, rain stays with us, but should taper off by Sunday, the drier of the two days.
BELLMEAD (June 17, 2014) David Baker, 11, of Bellmead, who fell from the window of a moving car Monday, remained in a local hospital Tuesday in critical, but stable condition, police said.
The accident was reported at around 3:50 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Old Dallas Road in Bellmead.
The boy was reported to be unresponsive and not breathing, police said, but he was breathing on his own when officers and paramedics arrived.
Officers determined that the boy was sitting in the frame of an open passenger window and fell into the street, hitting his head, when the driver pulled into a driveway.
No charges were immediately filed, but the accident is under investigation, police said.
