FRISCO (August 13, 2014) A 16-year-old Frisco boy who’s charged with murder in the shooting deaths of his parents will remain in custody for at least the next two weeks after a judge ordered him held.

Officers who responded to a report of shots fired early Monday morning in the Dallas suburb of Frisco found the bodies of the teenager’s 48-year-old father and 49-year-old mother in the family’s home.

Others were in the house at the time of the shootings, but were unharmed, police spokesman Benito Valdez said.

Officers recovered a rifle with a flashlight taped to it, police said.

The teenager was charged as a juvenile.
