MART (May 1, 2014) A 4-year-old Mart boy who was found unresponsive in his family’s pool has died at a Temple hospital.

Lane Cordova was found Tuesday morning by his grandmother, Limestone County Sheriff Dennis Wilson said.

Deputies responded at around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday to the home at 1517 Limestone County Road 610, he said.

The boy was taken first to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and then was airlifted to McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, where he died just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Wilson said.

The death was accidental, he said.

"This is a tragedy anyway you look at it and this family must be going through a lot," he said.
