KILLEEN (March 7, 2014) A 12-year-old boy who was struck by a FedEx truck while riding his bicycle Friday afternoon in Killeen was taken to a local hospital.

The accident was reported just before 2 p.m. at the intersection of Wagon Wheel Drive and Atlas Avenue in South Killeen.

The boy was riding his bike on Atlas when he failed to stop at a stop sign, Killeen police spokeswoman Carroll Smith said.

The FedEx truck hit the rear wheel of the bicycle, she said.
