BRUCEVILLE (August 14, 2013)-- A big rig caught on fire at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, closing the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 through Bruceville.
The truck's driver said the brakes started to overheat and locked up, which caused the truck to catch fire.
The accident occurred near exit 315 which is the Moody/Marlin exit.
Traffic backed up for miles and the scene wasn't expected to be cleared for hours.
Lorena and Bruceville firefighters responded.
The truck was hauling silver blocks of lead.
No one was hurt.
