BRUCEVILLE-EDDY (May 13, 2014) An 18-wheeler rear-ended a Turimex Internacional tour bus Monday afternoon on Interstate 35 between Waco and Temple, but there were no serious injuries, authorities said.
The accident was reported at around 1:45 p.m. on the northbound interstate in Bruceville-Eddy.
As many as 13 people were initially reported to have been injured, the Department of Public Safety said, but that turned out to be the total number of passengers aboard the bus.
The bus driver and one passenger were taken to a local hospital with what Bruceville-Eddy Police Chief Bill McLean said were minor injuries.
The drivers were able to pull off to the side of the highway and traffic flow wasn't affected, authorities said.
