Campus Alert Issued At Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION (February 20, 2013)--Texas A&M University issued a "code maroon" safety advisory Wednesday after a bomb threat at Kyle Field that the stadium and nearby buildings.

A statement Wednesday afternoon from the school said law enforcement personnel are working to clear the football stadium.

As a precaution, surrounding buildings will remain closed for the rest of the day.

The university said all activities and events at facilities that haven't been evacuated will go on as scheduled.

A&M says the threat was written on a wall of a nonacademic campus facility and officials were told of it at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.

The initial "code maroon" was issued at 12:25 p.m.

Further details weren't immediately available.
