Central Texas Rancher Finds Human Remains

BRAZOS COUNTY (December 21, 2012)--An investigation was underway Friday after human remains were found in northeast Brazos County.

Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk said the owner of a ranch called his office Wednesday evening after he found the remains on the property is off of Tabor Road near Wagon Wheel Drive.

The remains were "badly decomposed," Kirk said, and were in a fenced pasture about 100 yards from Tabor Road.

Kirk said he cannot rule out foul play, but that there is no immediate threat to the public.

An autopsy has been ordered.
