CENTERVILLE (February 28, 2014) Registered sex offender Dave Wagley III, 49, was in the Leon County Jail Friday in Centerville facing possession of child pornography charges after a search of his residence turned up a flash drive on which videos of children being sexually assaulted were stored, the Texas Attorney General’s Office said.
The attorney general’s Cyber Crimes Unit began an investigation of Wagley after a referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Officers executed a search warrant Thursday at his home and confiscated what they described as “multiple digital devices” including the flash drive on which the videos were found, the attorney general’s office said Friday.
Wagley was convicted in 1999 in New York for distribution of child pornography, officials said.
