GATESVILLE (November 1, 2013)--Alisa Prueitt, 42, of Gatesville has been indicted for intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault in connection with a head-on crash that left a man dead and a woman and two children injured.
Prueitt was arrested on Sept. 13 after results of a test showed that her blood-alcohol level exceeded the state’s legal limit on Aug. 24 when her vehicle collided with another vehicle on State Highway 36 at Moccasin Bend Road, just north of Gatesville, the Department of Public Safety said.
She remained in the Coryell County Jail Friday in lieu of bonds totaling $475,000.
The DPS trooper who investigated the accident said Prueitt was driving south on the highway when her vehicle drifted off the pavement and she over-corrected.
Prueitt's vehicle and another driven by Samuel Dale Graham, 37, of Hamilton, collided.
Graham died at the scene.
His wife Sharla Kay Graham and their children, 7 and 10-years-old were taken to Scott & White Hospital, in Temple.
