Central Texas Man Sentenced In Kidnapping, Rape, Torture Case

Jeffrey Allan Maxwell (Jail photo)

WEATHERFORD (February 22, 2012)—Jeffery Allan Maxwell, 59, a Central Texas man who kidnapped, raped and tortured his former neighbor, holding her captive nearly two weeks, was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday after about 50 minutes of deliberations.

He won’t be eligible for parole until he’s served 60 years of the sentence.

Maxwell was convicted Tuesday of aggravated kidnapping and two counts of aggravated sexual assault.

After abducting his ex-neighbor last March, he drove 100 miles away to his home in Corsicana where he whipped and sexually assaulted her on a deer-skinning device.

He assaulted her on his bed and kept her chained there during most of the ordeal.

She was rescued when authorities went to question him about her disappearance after her house burned down.
