Christmas Day Fire Claimed Life Of Central Texas Toddler

TEAGUE (December 27, 2011)—A 3-year-old boy died and three other people were injured in a fire on Christmas Day in Teague, fire officials confirmed Tuesday.

The fire, which broke out at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in a mobile home, claimed the life of Steven Thomas Williams III.

Three others were taken to hospitals, officials said Tuesday.

One was treated and released, but Tuesday the other two were still in the burn unit of Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.

Their names weren’t available.

The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the blaze.

Services for the toddler were pending Tuesday at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
