Collision Sends 2 Children To Local Hospital

WACO (January 17, 2014) Two children were taken to a Waco hospital Thursday night after a two-vehicle collision that left an SUV on its side.

The accident happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of North 26th Street and Homan Avenue.

Police say a Chevrolet Suburban ended up on its side after the collision with a Buick passenger car in the intersection.

The two children, ages 1 and 3, who were riding in the car, were taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the suburban was also transported.

None of the victims’ injuries was life threatening, police said.

One of the driver's ran a red light at the intersection, police said.
