WACO (September 30, 2013)-At least two people were injured Monday morning in a collision involving a Waco Transit bus and a pickup truck.

The accident happened at around 8:15 a.m. near the intersection of North Valley Mills Drive and Fort Avenue.

Police at the scene said the driver of the pickup truck turned onto Valley Mills from Sanger, but didn't notice the bus had stopped to pick up a passenger and the two vehicles collided.

Two eastbound lanes of Valley Mills were closed while crews cleared up debris from the accident.

Both of the people injured were passengers on the bus and both were taken by ambulance to a Waco hospital for treatment.

The pickup truck driver was not injured.
