SAN ANTONIO (July 4, 2014) Officers who were making a welfare check Thursday evening at a house in northwestern San Antonio found a man, a woman and a teenage girl dead on the floor, evidently of gunshot wounds.
The dead man appeared to have been the gunman and the three knew one another, police Sgt. Gerald Marple said.
Officers found the bodies at around 5 p.m. Thursday after neighbors reported that no one in the house could be reached.
Police didn’t immediately release the names of the victims, but a neighbor, Eddie Juimbarda, said his daughter was a good friend of the girl, whom he described as a 13-year-old Longfellow Middle School student who would have been an eighth-grader in the fall.
He told the newspaper said the girl's parents had been going through a breakup.
