WACO (February 14, 2014) Six couples exchanged vows Friday in a traditional Valentine’s Day ceremony on the steps of the McLennan County Courthouse in Waco.
McLennan County Justice of the Peace Pete Peterson presided over the ceremony for a second year, continuing a tradition started by his predecessor Billy Martin in 1999.
Bride Helona Fallone said she and her new husband had been dating for eight years and had been "looking forward to the special day" for a long time.
Another new bride said she and her new husband had been going together for 11 years and decided this year it was time to tie the knot.
Peterson donned a red sports coat and conducted his first mass wedding on Valentine’s Day in 2013.
