BREMOND (August 28, 2013)—A Central Texas woman died Wednesday morning in a collision between the car she was driving and a tractor on a rural road outside of Bremond in Robertson County.
Jennifer Jo Nickels, 38, of Groesbeck, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on FM 2954, the Department of Public Safety said.
She was not wearing a seatbelt, troopers said.
The accident was reported at around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The DPS said the car and the tractor were both headed in the same direction on the rural road at the time of the accident.
The tractor’s driver was also injured and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan.
No other details were available.
The morning sun, which reduced visibility on the road, may have been a factor in the accident, the DPS said.
