LUBBOCK (December 19, 2012)—The death of a woman whose body was found in a burning Lubbock duplex has been ruled a homicide,
Lubbock police Sgt. Jonathan Stewart said Wednesday.
Stewart said one has been charged in the slaying, which was discovered after a blood-covered man was found outside the home.
Stewart says the man told authorities that he killed his wife and then set the duplex on fire.
Police say the man was taken to a Lubbock hospital for treatment of injuries mainly from the fire.
Stewart on Wednesday declined to release the names of the couple or further details on the man's condition.
