KILLEEN (January 16, 2014) Christopher Jones, 31, who fled last week from a San Antonio courtroom during his trial for aggravated assault, has been arrested in Killeen.
Jones was held Thursday in the Bell County Jail pending his return to San Antonio.
He was arrested Wednesday.
Jones was free on bond after he was charged in an incident in 2012 in which his ex-girlfriend was beaten and her home was set on fire.
Jones left court on Jan. 8 during jury selection, saying he had to call his father about a legal matter, but never returned, authorities said.
Jones was wearing an electronic ankle bracelet, which was found discarded several miles away.
Jones faces up to life in prison if convicted of attacking his former girlfriend and additional charges could be filed over his disappearance.
