ELM MOTT (September 20, 2012)--McLennan County sheriff's deputies, assisted by Lacy Lakeview police, arrested a man late Thursday afternoon following an hour-long standoff at house in Elm Mott just north of Waco.

Deputies wouldn't release the man's name and they wouldn’t say why they were looking for him in the first place.

The incident began just before 4 p.m. at the house in the 200 block of South Charles Street.

Within a few minutes, 11 patrol cars surrounded the house inside of which deputies said the man was barricaded.

They said he refused to come out and threatened to shoot himself.

Deputies took the man in custody a few minutes before 5 p.m.

Other details weren’t immediately available.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.
