BELL COUNTY (November 18, 2013) Bell County sheriff’s deputies tracked down an armed and possibly suicidal man late Monday afternoon in a park on Stillhouse Hollow Lake.
The search for the 52-year-old man started at around 2 p.m. Monday in River’s Bend Park off FM 2484 after authorities received a report the man was threatening to commit suicide.
He was taken into custody at around 6:20 p.m.
The man was armed with a .22 caliber pistol, authorities said.
River's Bend Park and part of Dana Peak Park were evacuated during the search.
No injuries were reported.
