LORENA (March 5, 2014) A Lorena toddler was taken by ambulance to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center Wednesday morning after a family dog bit him in the face.
The incident happened at around 10 a.m. at a home on Summer Harvest Road in Lorena.
McLennan County Sheriff's deputies are investigating.
The dog bit the 19-month-old at least twice, but authorities said the injuries did not appear to be severe.
An animal control officer was sent to the home to seize the 5-year-old mixed breed dog, which will be impounded.
