Dog That Bolted From Local Home Last Week Found In Ohio

HAMILTON, Ohio (April 2, 2014) A 3-year-old Chihuahua-Dachshund mix named Corbin that dug a hole under a fence in his backyard on March 25 in Killeen has turned up in a shelter in southwest Ohio, more than 1,000 miles away.

The dog was found Saturday tied to a bench outside of the shelter in Hamilton, Ohio.

Local officials hope to identify a woman captured by a surveillance camera as she left the dog at the shelter.

The dog was microchipped, which helped identify the owners, who say Corbin has escaped before, but has always turned up in Killeen.
