Dog Bite Leads To Deadly Shooting

HOUSTON (August 15, 2011)—One man was shot to death and two others were injured after an argument over a dog bite, Houston police say.

Authorities said a man became upset when a dog bit him in the leg at a party.

They say the man confronted the dog's owner, Robert Jones, 60, and then left the house after the two argued.

The man later returned with a gun and killed Jones and wounded two others early Saturday, police said.

One person was treated and released, and the other underwent surgery for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The 38-year-old gunman fled.
