HOUSTON (April 7, 2014) One woman was hospitalized Monday in serious condition with wounds suffered when two armed men opened fire on a girl's 15th birthday party in a drive-by shooting, Houston police said.
The incident happened Saturday night at a banquet hall in northwestern Houston where a quinceanera was underway.
Police say two groups of men began arguing inside when one group was asked to leave.
The men left, but later returned with firearms in a truck, from which they opened fire on the banquet hall.
One bullet penetrated a glass door and wounded the woman in the side of her stomach.
Police said the wounded woman was believed to have been a bystander and not a target.
No further details were immediately available.
