Collier’s truck was eastbound on East Avenue K at around 11 a.m. when the northbound train struck it at the crossing just east of South 12th Street, Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said.

The crossing is marked with a stop sign, but has no warning signal.

It’s not clear whether Collier stopped, authorities said.

About 170 passengers were on the train.

No one was injured.
