Rusty Garrett here with the weekend outlook: Saturday, rain stays with us, but should taper off by Sunday, the drier of the two days.
VICTORIA (March 20, 2013)—Mark and Laurie Garretson of Victoria have their stolen parrot back thanks to narcotics agents who discovered the brightly colored bird in a house.
The drug agents returned the green Mexican parrot named Gilbert to the Garretsons, but it’s not clear exactly where or how the bird was recovered.
On March 4 the Garretsons 4 arrived at their Victoria garden nursery business to find a broken door and Gilbert and another parrot named Mattie gone.
The couple went public in the search for their pets.
On Tuesday drug agents Tuesday contacted the Garretsons and said they found a parrot believed to be Gilbert.
Laurie Garretson said Gilbert chirped and moved closer to her when she looked into the agents' vehicle and saw the caged creature.
Mattie, however, is still missing.
