KILLEEN (July 26, 2013)—Police were investigating Friday in Killeen after shots fired into a car from a passing vehicle sent one man to a local hospital.
The shooting occurred at around 1:30 a.m. Thursday on South W S Young Drive near Illinois Avenue in Killeen.
The victim was riding with some other people in a car in the inside lane of W S Young when another vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire.
Numerous shots were fired, police said.
A witness counted seven bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle and said a window had been shot out.
The injured man was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in stable condition, police said Friday, but no further details were available.
