Early Morning Fire Leaves Woman, Daughter Dead

FORT WORTH (January 24, 2014) A house fire early Friday morning in Fort Worth claimed the lives of a woman and one of her 6-year-old twin daughters and left three other people hurt.

The survivors, a man, a woman, and the other twin, did not have life-threatening injuries, officials said, but further details about their conditions weren’t immediately available.

The names of the victims have not been released.

The fire was reported shortly before 2 a.m. Friday, the Fort Worth Fire Department said.

The cause has not been determined.

Authorities believe the twins and their mother were staying at the house with the man and the woman who survived.

The flames spread to a house next door causing some damage, as well.
