WILLIS (July 22, 2014) Two men and a woman suffered severe burns early Tuesday in an explosion that leveled a house near Willis about 40 miles north of Houston.
The fiery explosion occurred before dawn Tuesday, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.
The three victims were taken to a hospital, but their names and further details about their injuries weren’t immediately available.
Montgomery County Fire Marshal Jimmy Williams says it could be weeks before investigators determine the cause of the blast, which was felt several miles away.
Williams says investigators are trying to determine if any nearby homes in the unincorporated area were damaged.
