DALLAS (April 29, 2013)--Some Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel helped tend to eight children after the youngsters were found home alone and then dropped off at a fire station.
Child Protective Services took custody of the youngsters, who range in age from 2 to 12, as the mother was located.
She’s facing some questions.
Police Sgt. Warren Mitchell says the family was given permission to stay at a church.
Two women stopped at the church after noticing the mother had been gone for several hours and decided to take the children to Fire Station 33.
Authorities say firefighters entertained the children for about 45 minutes before Dallas police took custody of the youngsters.
The children were later placed in foster care.
Further details weren't immediately available.
