WACO (September 14, 2012)—An elderly Waco man who may have suffered a heart attack while behind the wheel Friday morning died and another man was injured in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North 26th Street and Sanger Avenue.
Ross Youngblood, 71, was driving his 2006 Chevrolet Malibu east on Sanger when he experienced a medical problem that caused him to run a stop sign at the intersection, police said.
A southbound 2002 Chevrolet pickup driven by David Turner, 58, struck the car.
Youngblood was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Turner was also taken to Hillcrest.
Information about the severity of his injuries wasn’t available Friday afternoon.
