Elderly Texas Woman Dies In Pit Bull Attack

KAUFMAN (April 1, 2014) An autopsy has been ordered in the death of Dorothy Hamilton, 85, of Kaufman who was attacked and killed by her son’s pit bulls in the home the two shared.

Police Capt. Ed Black said it appears two large, very aggressive dogs attacked Hamilton.

Investigators seized eight pit bulls, including the two dogs suspected in the attack Monday afternoon.

Black says the woman's adult son also lives at the home, the dogs are his and the animals had been kept inside the residence for several months.

The dogs were in a bedroom, but evidently broke through a door to reach the victim.

Her body was in the living room.
