HOUSTON (February 3, 2012)—The FBI is searching for a man it’s calling the “tall, dark and handsome bandit” after bank robberies this week in Houston and Beaumont.
The FBI released bank surveillance photos of the robber Friday.
Investigators say a teller was handed a threatening note Thursday at a Comerica Bank in Houston.
Nobody was hurt and the robber escaped with an unknown amount of cash.
A Bank of America in Beaumont was robbed Monday after a note was also slipped to a teller.
No further details were released on the holdup.
The robber is white, in his 30s, about 6-foot tall, with a medium build and short brown hair.
He was wearing a white button-down dress shirt, jeans and brown sunglasses, which he placed on top of his head during the robbery.
He didn’t appear to be wearing a wedding ring, the FBI said.
Houston Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of as much as $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and charges.
