AMARILLO (March 12, 2013)--A truck driver remained in critical condition Tuesday with burns over much of his body following a two-vehicle collision in West Texas that triggered a fire and killed five Texas teenagers.

Ezequiel Garcia was in the burn unit of a Lubbock hospital Tuesday, two days after the driver of the Chevrolet in which the teens were riding ran a stop sign and the car his rig outside Dumas.

Authorities in the Panhandle say Jacob Paul Stipe, 16, drove through the stop sign and the vehicle collided with the gas tanker driven by Garcia.

Stipe was killed, along with 17-year-olds Derrek Lee Hager, Lee Moore, October Dawn Roys, and Elizabeth Kay Roys, 15, all of the Dumas area, north of Amarillo.
