MCLENNAN COUNTY ((September 19, 2012)--One man was seriously injured late Wednesday afternoon when his pickup collided with a second vehicle, veered off a local highway, hit a billboard pole, ended up in the yard of a home and caught on fire.
The accident happened on U.S. Highway 84 eight miles east of McGregor.
Authorities said the driver of the pickup was headed east on the highway when the truck hit an eastbound PT Cruiser, veered to the right, hit the billboard support pole and ended up in the yard.
The driver of the pickup was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
The driver of the PT Cruiser was not hurt.
The victim’s name wasn’t immediately released.
